Georgia Learning Resources System (GLRS) is a state network composed of 17 regional programs. North GLRS serves the systems in the Pioneer RESA district. The GLRS mission is to support the achievement, graduation rate, and post-secondary success of students with disabilities through the provision of quality professional learning and support for educators who work with exceptional students.

Philip Wright is a former director of North GLRS and worked tirelessly for many years to improve educational opportunities for students with disabilities.  Through the annual Philip Wright Award ceremony, North GLRS continues to honor Philip Wright as well as the outstanding educators nominated to receive the award.

All systems served by North GLRS and Pioneer RESA nominate a recipient based on qualities that reflect Philip Wright’s leadership in advocating for and supporting students with special needs.

DIANNE GUNN IS AN OUTSTANDING LEADER AND ADVOCATE FOR STUDENTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS.

SHMS congratulates Mrs. Gunn for recieving this honor!
