Two South Habersham Middle School students have been chosen for the second year in a row to serve on the State Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council.  Camryn Fricks (pictured left) and Ellis Wallace (pictured right), both eighth grade students, are serving a second term on the council that was created by our state school superintendent Richard Woods as a way to have a direct line of communication with students across the state.   To be selected, students wrote application essays describing what they believe will help improve education in the state of Georgia.  One hundred eight students were chosen out of a pool of more than 800 students who applied.  Fricks and Wallace will have a direct impact on decisions made at the state level through their participation on the council. Meetings will be held three times throughout the school year in Atlanta.  Congratulations to both of these students!
