I was a preschool teacher for more than ten years in Alaska and Pennsylvania. Immediatly after graduating from Toccoa Falls College in 2003, I began teaching sixth grade at North Habersham Middle School. I made the switch from NHMS to SHMS in 2011. I enjoyed being a Bobcat and now I love being a Rebel! This year I made the switch from 6th grade to 8th grade and I'm so excited to be teaching so many of my former students!

I am certified to teach Reading, Langauge Arts, and Math and have taught all three subject during my  years with Habersham. In any given year my "favorite" subject to teach is the subject that I happen to be teaching! I just love teaching and I especially love learning new things! More than that, I love to see my students discover new things!

Hi! My name is Nora Zaboroskie, but most of my students call me “Mrs. Z.” I am happily married to “Mr. Z.” who is also a teacher at South Habersham Middle School. We have two wonderful sons, Dale—34, and Eddie—30. Dale is a Staff Sergeant in the United States Marine Corp and is stationed with his family in Bogata, Columbia in South America. He has served on combat tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan. He is married to our beautiful daughter-in-law, Rhiannon. We are also blessed with a wonderful granddaughter, Haley. Our son, Eddie, graduated Magna Cum Laude from Columbus State University where he majored in theater.  He is currently teaching high school drama at Marietta High School near Atlanta GA. He is married to my other beautiful daughter-in-law Samantha. They have blessed us with a wonderful grandson, Leo. Can you tell that I like to brag about my kids!

Teaching is my passion! However, I am also thrilled to be the teacher sponsor for SHMS's Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA).
